Meet the Team
SADIE YOUNGBLOOD | President
Sadie Youngblood is serving as the Kentucky Region 1 DECA President for the 2024-2025 school year, and she is incredibly thankful for this opportunity. She is a senior at Graves County High School and has been member of DECA for the last four years. She has served as her chapters Vice President of Membership for 2 years, and competed at the international level. Beyond DECA, Sadie is the Varsity All-Girl cheer captain, and has been a member of the team since freshman year. Sadie is an active member of FCA, Educators Rising, Pep club, Interact/KEY club, and her community’s youth leadership organization. Along with school involvement, she is a waitress at a family owned restaurant. Sadie loves to spend her time with her family and friends, while also enjoying meeting new people. She loves to shop and watch new movies at the theater. She hopes to make the best out of this year, and can’t wait to see how the team works together to make DECA the best it can be.
EMILIE WILLIAMS | VP Finance
Emilie Williams is thrilled to serve DECA as your Region 1 VP of Finance this 2024-2025 school year. Previously, Emilie has served her local chapter as VP of Finance and she has been in DECA for 3 years. She is a junior at Graves County Highschool where she is involved in many clubs and sports! Emilie is in Sources of Strength, FCA, Pep Club, and BETA. Emilie is also on the Varsity Cross Country team and the Varsity Track team. Outside of clubs and sports, Emilie is also a leader, one of her favorite things to do is be on and run for her school’s Student Council! When she is not busy Emilie loves hanging out with her family and being active at St. Jerome Catholic Church.
CHARLSTYN HEATH | VP Public Relations
Charlstyn Heath is beyond proud to serve as the Kentucky Region 1 DECA Vice President of Communications for the 2024-2025 school year. She is a senior at Trigg County High School and has been active member of DECA for the last three years. Over the past three years, Charlstyn has served as the local Vice President of Membership, and is currently the local Vice President of Leadership. Beyond her involvement in DECA, Charlstyn is a member of the varsity soccer team, a passion she has pursued since elementary school. Charlstyn holds leadership positions as one of her team soccer captains, Vice President and the Community Service Chairperson of the Interact Club, as well as an active member of pep club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) club, BETA club, and the Gifted and Talented program. Charlstyn enjoys spending her free time with friends and family, getting outdoors, and reading. She is highly anticipating serving the DECA community this school year!
EVAN GREEN | VP Membership
Evan Green is excited to serve as the Kentucky Region 1 DECA Vice President of Membership for the upcoming school year. A junior at Graves County High School, she has been an active DECA member for two years and recently served as her chapter’s Vice President of Membership.
Outside DECA, Evan is a varsity cross country and track athlete and holds leadership roles as BETA President, FCA Co-President, and Student Council representative. She is also involved in Pep Club, Educators Rising, ASAP Youth Council, Interact Club, Sources of Strength, and the Empower Club.
In her free time, Evan enjoys spending time with family and friends, worshiping at church, working out, singing in her worship band, and acting in community theater. She looks forward to serving her DECA family this year!
AVERY WADE | VP Communications
Avery Wade is thrilled to serve DECA as your KY State Vice President of Communications and your Region 1 Vice President of Communications for the 2024-2025 school year! She is a senior, and this will be Avery’s fourth year in DECA. Avery also has served as a local chapter officer for the past 2 years. Outside of DECA she is an active member in BETA. NHS, and FCA. In these clubs, she makes it a point to participate in community service activities! Outside of school, Avery finds value in hanging out with her friends and family. Avery is also very active in church and her youth group! She loves to go out and spread the gospel. Avery is very blessed and grateful to be in this position this year, as this has been a dream of hers since her freshman year!
RILEY SHAUGHNESSY | VP Records
Riley Shaughnessy is honored to serve as the Kentucky Region 1 DECA Vice President of Records for the 2024-2025 school year. She is at Trigg County High School and has been an active member of DECA throughout her high school career. Riley is currently serving as her schools Vice President of Finance. Beyond her involvement in DECA, Riley holds many leadership positions in numerous clubs. Riley is the President of her schools Interact club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Vice President, Student Council Class President, and a part of the Youth Leadership program, as well as an active member in BETA club, FCCLA, Voice of Wildcats, Pep club, Culture club, TSA, Life Skills club, KYA, Teen Court, and the Gifted and Talented program. Outside of school, Riley finds meaning in volunteer work and helping others, with approximately 800 service hours thus far. She also enjoys spending time with her loved ones as much as possible. Riley is grateful for this opportunity to serve Region 1 and is more than excited with what’s to come!
