Meet the Team

EVAN GREEN |  President

Evan Green is serving as the Kentucky Region 1 DECA President for the 2025-2026 school year, and she is incredibly thankful for this opportunity. She is a senior at Graves County High School and has been member of DECA for the last four years. Last year, she served as Region 1 Vice President of Membership, and the year before, she served as her chapter's Vice President of Membership. At her school, Evan serves as Fellowship of Christian Athletes President, Hope Center Student Ambassadors President, Empower Co-President, and Sources of Strength Co-President. She is Co-Captain of her school's Varsity Cross Country Team, and she is on the Varsity Track and Field Team. Evan is a 2025 Governors Scholar and is involved in Chamber Choir, Pep Club, Interact Club, and Young Politicians. Her favorite memories from DECA are being an international finalist in 2024 and becoming Region 1 President. Evan is aiming for more competitive involvement for Region 1, and for Region 1 to be represented more at the state and international levels. She is so excited for the year ahead!

JACKSON RILEY  |  VP Finance

Jackson Riley is thrilled to serve Kentucky DECA as your Region 1 VP of Finance this 2025-2026 school year. This is his third year in DECA at Graves County High School where he served as the Vice President of Member Recruitment for the 2024-2025 school year. Outside of DECA, Jackson serves as the VP of Leadership Development for his school's FCA, is captain of the varsity golf and tennis teams, President of Interact Club and GC Trust, and he is 2025 alumni for GSE and HOBY. His favorite DECA memory is meeting and trading pins with global DECA members at ICDC 2025. His goal for the year is to share DECA's impact on mindset and futures.

RILEY SHAUGNESSY  |  VP Public Relations

Riley Shaughnessy is beyond proud to serve as the Kentucky Region 1 DECA Vice President of Public Relations for the 2025-2026 school year. She is a senior at Trigg County High School, and she has been an active member of DECA since her freshman year. She is currently serving as her chapter's Vice President of Leadership, and last school year she served as her chapter's Vice President of Finance and Region 1 Vice President of Records. Currently, Riley is serving as the President for her school's Senior Class, Interact, BETA club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is also a 2025 Governors Scholar, Academic Team member, Teen Court member, Student Advisory member, and Gifted and Talented member. Riley's favorite DECA memory is attending the 2023 International Career Development Conference, and this year, she wants to ensure all members enjoy their time competing in DECA!

ELLIE JO CLARK  |  VP Membership

Ellie Jo Clark is excited to serve as the Kentucky Region 1 DECA Vice President of Membership for the 2025-2026 school year. She is a senior at Graves County High School, and she has been a DECA member for her entire high school career. She has been a chapter Vice President twice, and she has attended ICDC. Ellie Jo is involved in Sources of Strength, Pep Club, BETA, Interact, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and is an ambassador for Miracle League of Western Kentucky. Her favorite DECA memory is going to Anaheim, California and experiencing new places. Ellie Jo's goal for Kentucky DECA this year is to grow in membership, and to meet a lot of new people!

JEMMA CARROLL  |  VP Communications

Jemma Carroll is thrilled to serve DECA as your KY Region 1 Vice President of Communications for the 2025-2026 school year! She is a sophomore at Trigg County High School, and this will be Jemma's second year in DECA. At her school, Jemma is the Mission Coordinator for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and her class's reporter. She is also a part of Gifted and Talented, Kentucky Youth Assembly, Pep Club, Interact Club, The Kentucky Farm Bureau AgXperience Program, Culture Club, BETA, and HOSA.  Her favorite DECA memories are being announced as the Region 1 VP of Communications at Region 1 conference and enjoying the bus rides to and from SCDC. Jemma's goals for Region 1 Kentucky DECA this year are to boost presence, increase local active membership, and continue DECA's mission across the region. She is excited to work with her fellow officers and friends, and she cannot wait to see what the year brings!

JESSE MORSE |  VP Records

Jesse Morse is honored to serve as the Kentucky Region 1 DECA Vice President of Records for the 2025-2026 school year. He is at Graves County High School where he serves as the Vice President of Community Outreach, and he has been an active member of DECA since 2023. Outside of DECA, Jesse plays varsity soccer and varsity tennis. He is also a part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, HOSA, and YoungPolitians. His favorite DECA memory is competing at the 2025 International Career Development Conference because he was given the opportunity to network with people from all around the world. Jesse is hopeful that in his position he will see a rise in the percentage of Kentucky DECA members who compete!
