Kentucky DECA
Please note:  December 15 is the registration deadline for TDM, Written, PSE events.  January 10 is the deadline for any additional test only events, project upload deadlines and any substitution or changes chapters may have in their submitted registration.  After that date, all substitutions must go through Jeremy or Jayne.

Meet your Region 2 President

Cole Crawford

Cole is a senior at Logan County High School and enjoys staying active in sports and school activities.  He is a member of the LCHS Track Team, as well as a member of a recreational basketball team.  Cole is a 6th year DECA member (stretching back to middle school), as well as a member of the LCHS Principal's Advisory Council, LCHS Ambassadors, Law Club, and Cougars for Christ.  Cole also enjoys working for the Bowling Green Hot Rods minor league baseball team.  When he graduates, Cole is looking forward to pursuing his career in marketing/sports marketing from a 4-year university.  Cole is looking forward to ‘experiencing the difference’ by being your Regional President.

Katie Jo Simmons, your VP of Finance for Region 2, is currently a senior at Glasgow High School where she is involved in DECA, Pep Rallies, and her school's Ambassador program. After school, she works part-time at the local nursing home as a Nurse aide. She's been a part of DECA since her sophomore year and has always loved competing in her team-making decision events. After high school, she plans to enroll in college and pursue a communications major with a minor in journalism with plans to hopefully work with the top nation's news outlets. She is looking forward to helping DECA succeed and grow during this year's conference.

Kaitlyn Rather

Kaitlyn Rather, a senior at Allen County-Scottsville High School, is active in academics, music, sports, and community service.  She is currently active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Pep Club, DECA, BETA Club, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), History Club, Interact Club, Tennis, and Band.  

Sarah Wright is a senior at Allen County Scottsville High School. She is a 4 year DECA member who is also involved in a number of other clubs like FCA, Pep Club, and HOSA and on her schools' varsity basketball team. After graduation she plans to go to college to receive her nursing degree and further her education to become a nurse anesthetist. Sarah is excited to get to serve you as your VP of Communication in her final year of DECA.

VP of Public Relations

Houston Porter

Houston Porter, the Regional Vice President of Public Relations, is a junior at Allen County-Scottsville High School. At his high school, Houston is an active member of the ACS Varsity swim team, serves as the president of the DECA chapter, and holds the position of reporter for FBLA. Additionally, he is involved in FCA, BETA, Pep Club, and Interact. Upon graduating from high school, Houston plans to attend college to pursue a degree in Marketing, all while competing at the collegiate level in swimming. His vision for Region 2 is to assist DECA members in creating connections that will serve them beyond high school. He is eager to help you, DECA members, Experience the Difference this school year!
