Please note:  December 15 is the registration deadline for TDM, Written, PSE events.   January 10 is the deadline for any additional test only events, project upload deadlines and any substitution or changes chapters may have in their submitted registration.  After that date all substitutions must go through Jeremy or Jayne.

Meet your Region 1 President

Jenna Shupe

Jenna is a Senior at Graves County High School and is involved in DECA, Youth Leadership, and FCA. Jenna is also active in her Youth Group at church and loves spending time with her friends and family. After graduation, Jenna plans to attend a 4-year University where she will major in Nursing with the goal of becoming a Nurse Anesthetist. Her goal for Region 1 is to highlight DECA as a club that is passionate about not just future success but also passionate about being a community. She believes that DECA can be more than just a group, but a close-knit community where everyone supports and uplifts each other in their goals. Jenna is so excited for the 2023-24 school year and to work with members, officers, and advisors across the commonwealth.

Krystina Kelly

Krystina Kelly is the Region 1 Vice President of  Membership. She is a Junior at Graves County High School where she participates in Soccer, DECA, Interact Club, Track, Pep Club, and Leadership. After high school, she plans on attending a four year university in Business Management and Psychology. Then proceed to apply for law school or the FBI. Her goal for DECA region 1 is to create a more inclusive club where our members are familiar with other members from different schools, grow in size by bringing in more members from our existing schools, and hopefully bringing in schools who don't currently have DECA as an option in their school clubs.

Ryan Barnett

Ryan Barnett is Vice President of Finance. Ryan is a senior at Graves County High School where he runs Track and Field & Cross Country. He is involved in DECA, World Languages Club, and is a Governor’s Scholar Program Alumnus. Outside of school, he is a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and works at West Kentucky and Tennessee Telecommunications Cooperative. Following graduation, he plans to attend the University of Kentucky, where he plans to major in Applied and Computational Mathematics and minor in Spanish Language.

Lania Hite

Lania Hite is Region 1 DECA’s Vice President of Records. She is a Senior at Trigg County High School where she participates in soccer, BETA, TSA/STLP, and FCA. After high school, she plans on attending a four year university where she plans to major in Business Marketing and minor in Sales. Her goal for Region 1 DECA is to grow the program back in membership numbers and encourage each officer, regional and local, to work together throughout the region to reach new members on a student level as well as professional and alumni levels.

Aniston Stewart

Aniston Stewart is Vice President of Communications. She is a Senior at Trigg County High School where she serves as President in her local DECA chapter. She is also involved in BETA, FCA, SOS, NHS, Youth Leadership, and Blackhole. After high school, Aniston plans to attend a four-year university where she plans to work towards a degree majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Accounting. Her goal for Region One DECA is to continue to grow membership and show that DECA has a place for everyone.
